These terms govern your use of the Scoily app and this website. By creating an account, you agree to them. Please read them alongside our privacy policy.
01Who can use Scoily
Scoily is for parents and guardians aged 18 or over. Children do not create their own accounts and may not use Scoily directly — any information about a child is added and managed by their parent or guardian. By adding information about a child, you confirm that you are their parent or legal guardian, or otherwise have the authority to do so.
02Your account
You're responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity under your account. Let us know straight away if you think your account has been accessed without your permission, at support@scoily.ie.
03Acceptable use
Scoily is a space for parents in the same class or household to communicate. When using it, you agree not to:
- Post content that is abusive, harassing, hateful, or discriminatory
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with a school or class
- Share another parent's personal contact details without their consent
- Post spam, advertising, or content unrelated to your child's class or school
- Attempt to access another household's or class's data without authorisation
You can report content or a person you believe breaks these rules directly from within the app. We may review reports, remove content, and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
04Content you post
You retain ownership of the messages, posts, photos and documents you share on Scoily. By posting content, you give the members of your household or class permission to view it, and you give Scoily the licence needed to store, display and transmit it in order to operate the service. We do not use your content for advertising, and we do not sell it.
05Class funds
Scoily's class fund feature is a coordination and tracking tool between parents — it does not process, hold, or transfer money on anyone's behalf. Any actual collection of funds happens outside the app, between parents and their class representative, and is not Scoily's responsibility.
06Service availability
We aim to keep Scoily available and reliable, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access. Scoily is not a substitute for your school's official communications — always follow direct guidance from your school for anything urgent or safety-related.
07Termination
You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete account. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms, or that we reasonably believe poses a risk to other users.
08Disclaimer & liability
Scoily is provided "as is." Content posted by other parents reflects their own views, not ours, and we're not responsible for its accuracy. To the extent permitted by law, Scoily is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the app.
09Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we'll let you know in the app before it takes effect.
10Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland.
